Diablo himself is finally coming to Diablo 4 on September 15 as part of Season 15: Season of Hell’s Legacy, alongside fellow Prime Evils Mephisto and Baal.

Blizzard confirmed the return of the franchise’s iconic villain as part of its 30th anniversary celebration, with the new season designed to revisit major characters, enemies and moments from Diablo’s history.

The seasonal questline will take players through recreated pieces of Diablo’s history, including memories of legendary heroes and familiar enemies from previous games.

Diablo’s arrival is particularly significant considering that the titular villain has been absent from Diablo 4 itself until now.

Diablo 4 Season 15 Adds More Than New Bosses

Season of Hell’s Legacy will also expand Diablo 4’s endgame and introduce additional customization options, Horadric Cube crafting recipes, new seasonal progression, skills, cosmetics and rewards.

Blizzard is also preparing several quality-of-life improvements alongside the seasonal content.

The celebrations won’t stop with Season 15. Blizzard recently confirmed Diablo 5 for Spring 2029, while Diablo 4 is also heading to Nintendo Switch 2. The Amazon has additionally been confirmed as an upcoming playable class arriving within the next few months.

For now, the focus turns to September 15, when Diablo, Mephisto and Baal bring the Prime Evils back into the spotlight for Diablo 4’s biggest anniversary celebration.
