DOOM: The Dark Ages is getting a free Slaughter Mode update next month, introducing an endless single-player mode built around increasingly difficult waves of demons.
id Software revealed the new mode during its latest Slayers Club Live stream. An exact release date has not yet been announced.
Slaughter Mode Brings Endless Demon Waves
Slaughter Mode will challenge players to survive escalating waves of demons across multiple arenas, with each run focused on reaching higher rounds and improving your score.
Players will also be able to earn cosmetic rewards while competing against their own personal best scores.
Unlike the Revelations expansion released earlier this year, Slaughter Mode will arrive as a free update za DOOM: The Dark Ages.
Revelations launched in July with additional campaign content, new enemies and weapons, alongside further additions to the Ripatorium.
The free DOOM: The Dark Ages Slaughter Mode update launches next month, with id Software yet to confirm an exact date.
