Prime Video has officially announced that Fallout Shelter: The Experiment will premiere on January 13, 2027, bringing a new reality competition series to the Fallout universe.
Following the success of Amazon’s live-action Fallout adaptation, the franchise is expanding with an unscripted reality show inspired by Vault-Tec’s infamous experiments.
Fallout Shelter: The Experiment Premieres January 13
The upcoming series places contestants inside Vault-Tec-inspired shelters, where they must complete challenges designed to test their survival instincts, decision-making and cooperation.
The show will feature:
- Seven episodes, beginning with four on January 13.
- Three additional episodes released weekly through January 27.
- Challenges involving strategy, morality and survival.
- A $1 million grand prize for the winner.
Prime Video revealed the premiere date alongside a teaser featuring the tagline: “The World is Ending, The Competition is Just Beginning.”
The announcement follows an earlier casting campaign seeking participants willing to test their ability to survive an imagined apocalypse.
Unlike the main Fallout television adaptation, Fallout Shelter: The Experiment is a reality competition rather than a scripted drama.
The series premieres exclusively on Prime Video on January 13, 2027.
