Sucker Punch Productions, the PlayStation studio behind Ghost of Yotei and Ghost of Tsushima, has reportedly laid off at least 26 employees while preparing for its next major project.
Prema izvješću od Aftermath, the Sony-owned developer is reducing its workforce despite the commercial success of Ghost of Yotei.
The studio reportedly employs approximately 230 people, meaning the cuts could affect more than 10% of its workforce.

Sucker Punch Restructures Ahead of Its Next Game
An internal email obtained by Aftermath reportedly confirms that the decision followed a review of market conditions and staffing requirements for the studio’s next project.
Management explained that several positions would be eliminated as Sucker Punch adjusts its development team for future production.
The layoffs are particularly surprising given Ghost of Yotei’s reported commercial performance, with the game considered one of Sony’s successful PS5 releases.
However, Sucker Punch has not officially revealed its next project, and it remains unclear whether the studio plans to continue the Ghost franchise or pursue something entirely different.
The internal communication also indicates that employees will receive additional information about the studio’s future in the coming days.
For now, Sony has not publicly confirmed the exact number of affected employees or announced details about Sucker Punch’s next PlayStation game.
