EA Reportedly Removes Mass Effect Cosmetics from Battlefield 6 Following BioWare Closure

EA has reportedly removed planned Mass Effect cosmetics from Battlefield 6 following the closure of BioWare and cancellation of the next Mass Effect game.

The discovery raises further questions about the franchise’s future as Electronic Arts continues restructuring its development studios.

According to MP1st, several Mass Effect-themed cosmetic items previously discovered in Battlefield 6’s game files are no longer available.

Mass Effect N7 Cosmetics Removed from Battlefield 6

Dataminers previously uncovered several items inspired by BioWare’s sci-fi franchise, including:

  • N7 weapon skins featuring the iconic black-and-red design.
  • Normandy spaceship weapon charm inspired by Commander Shepard’s vessel.
  • Mass Effect-themed patches and decals featuring N7 branding.

The cosmetics were reportedly intended for a potential N7 Day celebration on November 7, 2026.

However, EA never officially announced the crossover, and its cancellation remains unconfirmed.

The reported removal follows EA’s decision to close BioWare and cancel its next Mass Effect project.

Although the franchise currently has no announced video game in development, a separate Mass Effect television adaptation is reportedly still progressing at Amazon.

Whether the Battlefield 6 cosmetics will eventually return remains unknown.

With N7 Day approaching, fans are now waiting to see whether EA has any announcements planned for the franchise.
