Ubisoft Shares Assassin’s Creed Hexe and Invictus Updates, Confirms No New Remakes

Ubisoft has shared new details about the future of Assassin’s Creed, confirming that Codename Hexe and Codename Invictus remain in development while revealing that no additional franchise remakes are currently being produced.

The announcements come from Ubisoft’s October 29 franchise update, which also outlined plans for the series’ 20th anniversary in 2027.

Assassin’s Creed Hexe and Invictus Development Updates

Ubisoft confirmed that Assassin’s Creed Codename Hexe continues to make progress, describing it as a darker experience within the franchise.

However, fans will need to wait until 2027 for the next major update on the project.

Meanwhile, multiplayer-focused Codename Invictus has undergone changes following private testing involving hundreds of players.

Although early feedback praised its parkour, vertical environments and character abilities, Ubisoft acknowledged requests for stronger connections to the franchise’s core identity.

The development team is now refining the multiplayer experience based on that feedback.

Ubisoft Confirms No Other Assassin’s Creed Remakes Are in Development

Following the release of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, Ubisoft confirmed that no additional Assassin’s Creed remakes are actively in development.

However, the publisher remains open to revisiting classic titles in the future.

Ubisoft also revealed that production of its live-action Assassin’s Creed Netflix series is nearing completion in Rome.

Finally, the company is preparing a year of announcements, rewards and community celebrations for the franchise’s 20th anniversary in 2027.
