CD Projekt Red has officially revealed the Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.5 patch notes, confirming console mod support, dual-wielding weapons, new Edgerunners content and major improvements for PS5 and PS5 Pro.
Following the latest REDstream presentation, CD Projekt Red has detailed the changes arriving in Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.5 on October 22, 2026.
The free update introduces new quests, customization options, collectibles and technical improvements across multiple platforms.
Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.5 – Biggest New Features
The update includes several major additions:
- Dual Wielding: The new Double Trouble perk allows players to use two Power Pistols or Revolvers simultaneously.
- Console Mod Support: Browse and install community-created mods through mod.io on PS5, PS5 Pro and Xbox Series X|S.
- New Side Quests: Clampdown and Welcome to Paradise introduce additional Night City adventures.
- Cyberware Customization: Five new Glamdocs allow players to customize the appearance of arm and hand cyberware.
- New Clothing: Five outfit collections, including one arriving later.
- New Hairstyles: Additional customization options previously exclusive to NPCs.
- New Radio Station: HKGN 102.0 FM features music from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.
- 12 New Tarot Cards: Additional collectibles with a dedicated quest and special reward.
- Photo Mode: New poses and Cyberpunk Trading Card Game frames.
- Console FOV Slider: Adjust the first-person field of view.
Cyberpunk 2077 Finally Gets Console Mod Support
One of the biggest additions is cross-platform mod support powered by mod.io.
Players can access a selection of community-created modifications directly through the in-game menu.
The feature supports PC, Mac, PS5, PS5 Pro and Xbox Series X|S, with more mods expected over time.
However, trophies and achievements are disabled when playing from a modded save file on consoles.
New Quests and Edgerunners Content
Update 2.5 introduces two new side quests with specific unlock requirements.
Clampdown takes place before Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Season 2. Players must complete The Heist and two gigs for Wakako before receiving a message that starts the quest.
Completing Clampdown also provides access to a five-piece gear set inspired by King.
Welcome to Paradise offers a mysterious guided tour of Night City narrated by Richard Night. It becomes available after completing The Heist and reaching Street Cred level 15.
Additionally, players can discover 12 new Minor Arcana Tarot Cards across Night City.
PS5 Pro Improvements, HDR Fixes and Performance Updates
CD Projekt Red has also introduced several technical improvements:
- Performance optimizations for PS5 Pro and ray tracing.
- Improved HDR rendering, including color accuracy, brightness and contrast.
- Fixed PS5 HDR settings that previously had no effect.
- New save file grouping for separate playthroughs.
- Additional inventory filters for apartment and vehicle stashes.
- Updated AMD FSR options.
- DLSS 4.5 support on compatible hardware.
- Various gameplay and quest fixes.
The update also resolves a Nintendo Switch 2 saving issue and introduces additional platform-specific improvements.
