Supermassive Games<\/strong> is undergoing another leadership change, as CEO Robert Henrysson<\/strong> has officially announced his departure after a little more than two years leading the studio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Henrysson shared the news through a post on LinkedIn<\/strong>, describing his time at the company as one of the most rewarding periods of his career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Robert Henrysson Leaves Supermassive Games<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In his farewell message, Henrysson reflected positively on his time at both Supermassive Games<\/strong> and parent company Nordisk Games<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He wrote:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“It’s been a fantastic time.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Henrysson also confirmed that he is leaving Nordisk Games and plans to spend the summer with his family before considering his next professional opportunity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the outgoing executive, he intends to focus on his personal investment portfolio while remaining open to selected advisory positions in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Short but Eventful Tenure<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Although Henrysson served as CEO of Supermassive Games<\/strong> for approximately 30 months<\/strong>, his relationship with Nordisk Games began in 2022<\/strong>, when he joined the company as a partner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He officially became CEO of Supermassive Games in 2024<\/strong>, taking over leadership during an important period for the studio as development continued on Directive 8020<\/strong>, the latest entry in The Dark Pictures Anthology<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Directive 8020 Marks a Milestone<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In a statement acknowledging Henrysson’s departure, Nordisk Games<\/strong> credited him with helping reshape the studio’s leadership and long-term strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the company, his tenure included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Refining the studio’s strategic direction<\/li>\n\n\n\n

  • Establishing stronger quality standards across development<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Nordisk also highlighted that Directive 8020<\/strong> achieved the strongest critical reception in The Dark Pictures<\/strong> series to date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The company described Henrysson’s departure as a “natural time” following the successful launch of the title.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    At the time of writing, Supermassive Games has not announced a permanent replacement for Henrysson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
