A new report suggests Microsoft’s next-generation Xbox console<\/a><\/strong>, currently known by the codename Project Helix<\/strong>, could launch without a built-in disc drive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The claim arrives just hours after Sony<\/strong> officially announced it will end production of physical discs for new PlayStation<\/a> games beginning in January 2028<\/strong>, leading many to believe the gaming industry is rapidly moving toward a fully digital future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
