CD Projekt<\/a> has officially revealed The Witcher 3: Songs of the Past<\/a>, a brand-new expansion arriving more than a decade after Blood and Wine and designed to bridge the story between The Witcher 3 and The Witcher 4.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Geralt of Rivia is back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After months of rumors surrounding new content for one of the most celebrated RPGs ever made, CD Projekt finally revealed The Witcher 3: Songs of the Past during Gamescom 2026 Opening Night Live<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The expansion marks an extraordinary return to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, arriving 11 years after Blood and Wine<\/strong> seemingly brought CD Projekt’s work on Geralt’s adventure to an end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Better yet, Songs of the Past isn’t the only reason players will have to reinstall The Witcher 3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CD Projekt also revealed The Witcher 3 Remastered<\/strong>, a major overhaul of the original game that will be available as a free update for existing owners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CD Projekt used Gamescom Opening Night Live to finally pull back the curtain on Songs of the Past<\/strong>, showing the expansion with a new cinematic trailer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project had been surrounded by rumors for months, with reports dating back to 2025 suggesting that CD Projekt was preparing another expansion for The Witcher 3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now it’s official.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Songs of the Past once again puts players in control of Geralt of Rivia<\/strong>, s Doug Cockle returning to voice the legendary Witcher<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

More importantly, this isn’t simply another disconnected adventure set somewhere during the events of Wild Hunt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
