GTA 6 will track much more than Jason and Lucia’s weight and physical appearance, with Rockstar confirming that sleep, exercise and fitness can directly affect the characters’ attributes.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

New details from GTA 6<\/a> preview sessions continue to reveal just how deeply Rockstar<\/a> is expanding its character systems. Players won’t simply visit gyms for cosmetic changes \u2014 taking care of Jason and Lucia can influence their health, stamina and recovery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GTA 6 Will Track How Well Jason and Lucia Sleep<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

During a preview playthrough, Rockstar North co-studio head Rob Nelson<\/strong> explained that GTA 6 tracks whether its protagonists are properly rested.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The information can be viewed through a fitness app on the in-game phone, with insufficient sleep potentially affecting the regeneration of certain attributes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nelson summed up the level of simulation simply:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Working Out Improves Your Character<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Gyms will also play a significant role. Players can purchase memberships and complete workouts to improve Jason and Lucia’s physical condition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A workout session requires three exercises<\/strong>, while different activities can improve specific attributes. Cardio can increase stamina, for example, while exercising more generally can improve health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jason and Lucia can even work out together as a date<\/strong>, combining the fitness system with GTA 6’s relationship mechanics. During the demonstrated session, Lucia was also able to purchase a protein shake at the gym.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Combined with previously revealed systems involving food, weight and muscle growth, GTA 6 is taking character management considerably further than GTA 5.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
