Blizzard Entertainment is officially bringing Diablo to Netflix, with the two companies announcing a new partnership that will begin with an animated adaptation of the legendary action RPG franchise.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Blizzard <\/a>president Johanna Faries revealed the collaboration during the opening of BlizzCon 2026<\/strong>, although no footage, release date or major story details were announced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Diablo Is Getting a Netflix Animated Series<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Diablo<\/a> animated series will be the first project produced through the new Blizzard and Netflix partnership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For now, Blizzard is keeping most details under wraps, including which period of Diablo’s history the series will explore, its characters and when it will arrive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, Faries made it clear that Diablo is only the beginning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She teased that the partnership could eventually extend to other major Blizzard franchises, specifically mentioning the Overwatch and Warcraft communities<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No additional adaptations have been officially announced yet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Blizzard Is Expanding Diablo Beyond Games<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The announcement comes during a major period for the Diablo franchise as Blizzard celebrates its 30th anniversary<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Diablo 4 is preparing to introduce Diablo himself alongside Mephisto and Baal in Season 15, while Blizzard also recently announced Diablo 5 for Spring 2029<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Netflix animated series now gives the franchise another major project outside gaming, although fans will have to wait for further details about its story, cast and release window.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
