Capcom is getting rid of Monster Hunter Wilds’ controversial paid Character Edit Vouchers, with players eventually able to freely change their Hunter and Palico appearances as many times as they want.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The change will begin on December 3, 2026<\/strong>, when Character Edit Vouchers and Palico Edit Vouchers are removed from digital storefronts. From that date, players will receive 10 free Character Edit Vouchers and 10 free Palico Edit Vouchers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The temporary voucher system will remain in place until the launch of the Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance<\/a><\/strong> expansion in 2027.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unlimited Character Editing Is Coming<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Once Ascendance launches, Capcom<\/a> says appearance editing will become completely free and unlimited for everyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAll players will be able to re-edit the appearance of their hunter and Palico as many times as they like, free of charge and without the need for a Character Edit Voucher.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Importantly, the change applies to all Monster Hunter Wilds players<\/strong>, meaning purchasing the Ascendance expansion won’t be required to access unlimited character editing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Capcom confirmed the changes in an official announcement<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No Refunds for Previously Purchased Vouchers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Players who previously spent money on Edit Vouchers won’t receive refunds. Instead, Capcom will offer a Special Thank-You Pendant Set<\/strong> containing the Heavenly Hog and Beelzeboar pendants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The set will become available on December 3, although Capcom notes that the pendants could also be made available separately at a later date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s a significant quality-of-life change for Monster Hunter Wilds, removing a microtransaction that required players to spend additional money simply to make repeated changes to their character or Palico’s appearance.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
