Pearl Abyss has delayed Crimson Desert’s upcoming Charting the Unknown DLC by two weeks, moving its release date from October 15 to October 29, 2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The paid expansion, officially titled Crimson Desert Enhanced: Charting the Unknown<\/strong>, is coming to PlayStation<\/a> 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pearl Abyss says the additional development time will be used to deliver a more polished and stable gameplay experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Crimson Desert DLC Gets a New Release Date<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The developer announced the delay through the official Crimson Desert account on X, confirming that Charting the Unknown<\/em> will now launch on October 29, 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The expansion was previously scheduled for October 15, meaning players will have to wait an additional two weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Interestingly, the new date puts the expansion directly alongside the release of Phantom Blade<\/strong>, potentially making October 29 a particularly busy day for action game fans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Charting the Unknown Takes Players Beyond Pywel<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Charting the Unknown<\/em> significantly expands the world players can explore in Crimson Desert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The adventure will extend beyond the shores of Pywel, with players gaining access to a ship that can be used to sail across the ocean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Exploration won’t be limited to the surface either. Players will be able to dive beneath the ocean<\/strong>, searching for treasures, ancient ruins and secrets hidden underwater.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The expansion will also introduce a new story involving Kliff, Oongka and Damiane<\/strong>, alongside a mysterious new presence emerging in the desert and a wider political conflict.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another major addition is an enhanced building system<\/strong>, offering considerably more freedom when building and designing homes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite the short delay, Pearl Abyss says the extra development time is necessary to improve the expansion’s overall stability and polish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
