Ember Lab has delayed Kena: Scars of Kosmora to 2027, giving the studio additional development time for the significantly larger sequel to Kena: Bridge of Spirits.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The game was previously expected to launch in 2026, but Ember Lab says the expanded scope of the project requires additional time for development and polish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kena: Scars of Kosmora<\/a> is now scheduled to release in 2027 for PlayStation<\/a> 5 and PC<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ember Lab also revealed new details about the story and gameplay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kena is now a more experienced Spirit Guide but continues to struggle with her own past. She travels to the mysterious island of Kosmora alongside her childhood friend Orfio<\/strong>, searching for answers about their shared history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kosmora features four interconnected cultures historically associated with four different elements. Players will explore Alchemystic Temples<\/strong>, which feature dungeon-like challenges while revealing more about the island and its inhabitants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The sequel also introduces a crystalline canine companion<\/strong> that can serve as Kena’s mount, assist her during combat and help solve environmental puzzles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ember Lab says Scars of Kosmora is considerably larger in scope than Kena: Bridge of Spirits, with the additional development time intended to ensure the sequel reaches the studio’s desired level of quality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
