Marvel T\u014dkon: Fighting Souls has revealed its complete Year 1 DLC lineup, featuring Phoenix Cyclops, Jane Foster’s Thor, Venom and Jubilee, with new characters arriving through summer 2027.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arc System Works has announced the upcoming DLC characters for Marvel T\u014dkon: Fighting Souls, alongside a release schedule covering late 2026 and the first half of 2027.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The announcement features promotional artwork created by Marvel artist Peach Momoko.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Four additional fighters are planned for the game’s first year of post-launch content:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Phoenix Cyclops is currently the only DLC fighter with a confirmed release date. More specific launch dates for the remaining characters have not been announced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why Phoenix Cyclops Was Chosen as the First DLC Fighter<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In an official PlayStation Blog post<\/a>, producer Takeshi Yamanaka explained why Cyclops was moved from the original roster to post-launch DLC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The development team initially considered including Cyclops as part of the Unbreakable X-Men lineup but wanted to create a version that stood apart from his previous fighting game appearances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That decision led to Phoenix Cyclops<\/strong>, featuring a redesigned appearance, distinctive Optic Blast attacks and Dark Phoenix-inspired gameplay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Players will also have access to a more traditional Cyclops costume as an alternative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

S Venom, Jane Foster’s Thor and Jubilee<\/strong> joining the lineup throughout 2027, Arc System Works has now outlined its first full year of additional playable characters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Further gameplay details and exact release dates are expected closer to each DLC launch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
