Sony has revealed two limited-edition GTA 6 DualSense controllers launching alongside Grand Theft Auto 6 on November 19, but the announcement has been overshadowed by negative reactions from parts of the PlayStation community.
The two controllers feature distinctive GTA 6-inspired designs and will be available to pre-order beginning September 10.
Both will then officially launch on November 19, the same day as Rockstar’s highly anticipated game.

Two GTA 6 DualSense Controllers Are Coming
Sony showcased both limited-edition controllers in a short reveal trailer, giving players their first proper look at the GTA 6-themed hardware.
For collectors, the timing couldn’t be much better. The controllers will arrive alongside GTA 6 on November 19, allowing players to pair the new game with matching PlayStation hardware from day one.
Pre-orders open September 10, although Sony has not provided additional availability details in the announcement.
PlayStation Fans React Negatively to the Reveal
Unfortunately for Sony, much of the discussion surrounding the reveal quickly shifted away from the controllers themselves.
Comments across social media and video platforms referenced Sony’s controversial decision to move away from physical game discs beginning in January 2028.
Some users mocked the announcement by asking whether the controllers would actually be physical products or simply come as a “code in a box,” turning the reveal into another opportunity to criticize PlayStation’s future strategy.
The reaction doesn’t necessarily reflect the entire PlayStation community, but it shows that frustration surrounding Sony’s physical media plans continues to follow new product announcements.
The GTA 6 Limited Edition DualSense controllers will be available for pre-order from September 10 before launching alongside Grand Theft Auto 6 on November 19.
