F1 25 is free to play on Steam this weekend as Formula 1 heads to Madrid for the Spanish Grand Prix, giving PC players a chance to try EA’s racing game without paying.
The free weekend is available now and runs until September 14, 2026, although the promotion is currently limited to the PC version through Steam.
F1 25 Free Weekend Celebrates the Madrid Grand Prix
The promotion coincides with Formula 1’s first Spanish Grand Prix held in Madrid, allowing players to experience F1 25 and its latest content alongside the real-world race weekend.
Anyone interested in continuing after the free period can purchase F1 25 at a 20% discount until September 17.
F1 25 remains the current game in the series, as EA didn’t release a separate F1 26 this year. Instead, the game received the 2026 Season Edition, updating the experience with cars from the 2026 Formula 1 season alongside new circuits introduced for the current championship.
The 2026 Season Edition expansion is also currently available with a 30% discount.
For PC players who haven’t tried F1 25 yet, the free Steam weekend runs until September 14, with the game’s discounted price remaining available for a few additional days.
