PEAK Rated for PS5, Console Release Could Be Coming Soon

Popular co-op climbing game PEAK has received an official ESRB rating for PlayStation 5, suggesting its long-awaited console release could be approaching.

One of 2025’s biggest indie hits, PEAK, appears to be getting closer to its PlayStation 5 debut.

A new ESRB listing has rated the game E10+ (Everyone 10+) for PS5, marking a significant development following earlier confirmation that console versions were in development.

PEAK PS5 Rating Reveals New Publisher

The ESRB listing describes PEAK as a cooperative adventure in which players must climb mountains, collect equipment and survive dangerous environments on a mysterious island.

Interestingly, Skybound Games is listed as the publisher for the PS5 version, suggesting the company is involved in bringing the indie hit to consoles.

PEAK was originally developed by Landfall and Aggro Crab, becoming a major success thanks to its cooperative climbing mechanics and unpredictable survival challenges.

When Is PEAK Coming to PS5?

The developers previously confirmed that console ports were in development but emphasized that the process would take time.

Following the release of The Final Ascent update on August 11, 2026, the team indicated it could dedicate more attention to bringing PEAK to additional platforms.

Although the new rating suggests progress toward release, an official PS5 launch date has not been announced.

There are currently no equivalent ESRB listings mentioned for Xbox Series X|S or Nintendo Switch, leaving the release plans for those platforms uncertain.

For now, the PS5 rating is the clearest indication yet that PEAK’s console debut may be getting closer.
