Capcom’s classic survival horror sequel Dino Crisis 2 is coming to PS5 and PS4 on October 20, 2026, joining PlayStation Plus Premium with modern emulation features.
PlayStation is expanding its library of PS1 classics with the return of Dino Crisis 2, originally released in 2000.
The game will become available through the PlayStation Store on October 20, both as part of the PS Plus Premium Classics Catalog and as a standalone purchase.
Its standalone price has not been officially confirmed, although it is expected to cost approximately $9.99 / £7.99.

Dino Crisis 2 PS5 Features and Trophy Support
The PS5 and PS4 versions will use Sony’s classic game emulation technology, offering several modern conveniences:
- Rewind functionality to retry difficult moments.
- Quick save options for easier progress management.
- Video filters to customize the original PS1 visuals.
- PS Plus Premium access or a separate purchase.
However, Dino Crisis 2 is not expected to support PlayStation Trophies, following the pattern of previous Capcom classics released through Sony’s emulation program.
Every PlayStation Dino Crisis Game Now Available on PS5
Dino Crisis 2 follows Regina and newcomer Dylan as they investigate a mysterious temporal disaster involving Edward City and the dangerous Third Energy project.
With its arrival, both mainline Dino Crisis games originally released on PlayStation will be playable on PS5 and PS4.
Dino Crisis 3 remains absent, having originally launched exclusively on Xbox.
The release is part of the October 2026 PlayStation Plus update, which also includes Mafia: The Old Country, Mycopunk and The Midnight Walk.
While fans continue hoping for a modern Dino Crisis revival, the return of its second installment offers another opportunity to revisit Capcom’s dinosaur action classic.
