Grand Theft Auto 6 will reportedly require approximately 210 GB of storage space, making Rockstar Games’ upcoming open-world title one of the largest games by initial download size.

The information comes from PlayStation Game Size, a datamining account known for tracking PlayStation Store updates, with Insider Gaming reporting that it has independently corroborated the figure.

GTA 6 Preload Reportedly Begins November 12

According to the report, GTA 6 currently has a download size of 210 GB, although the final installation requirements could change before release.

Preloading is reportedly scheduled to begin on November 12, 2026, giving players time to download the game ahead of launch.

With such a substantial download, players may need to free up considerable storage space on their consoles.

The reported size also reflects the scale of Rockstar’s ambitious open world, which features Vice City and the surrounding state of Leonida.

However, the 210 GB figure should not be considered final. Additional updates, including a potential day-one patch, could increase the total storage requirements.

Rockstar Games has not officially confirmed GTA 6’s final download size, so players should treat the reported figure as preliminary.
