EA Sports Officially Confirms Fight Night Is Coming Back

EA Sports has officially announced the return of Fight Night, reviving its long-dormant boxing franchise after years of rumors, cancelled plans and speculation.

One of gaming’s most recognizable boxing franchises is finally making a comeback.

EA Sports confirmed the news through its official Fight Night social media account, delivering a short message to fans who have waited years for another installment.

“To everyone who stayed in our corner: Fight Night is coming back.”

The announcement confirms that EA Sports intends to revive Fight Night, although no gameplay footage, platforms or release date have been revealed.

Fight Night Returns After Years of Uncertainty

The Fight Night franchise has remained inactive since Fight Night Champion, which launched in 2011.

Despite continued interest from boxing fans, EA has primarily focused on developing its UFC games over the past decade.

In September 2026, Insider Gaming reported that earlier plans to reboot Fight Night had been cancelled approximately a year before.

However, the possibility of restarting development reportedly remained open.

EA’s latest announcement now confirms that the company has decided to bring the franchise back.

What Do We Know About the New Fight Night?

For now, EA Sports has revealed very little about the upcoming project.

Previous reports suggested that technology developed for EA Sports UFC could potentially support a new boxing game, although EA has not confirmed whether this approach will be used.

The announcement represents a major development for boxing game fans, but it remains unclear how far production has progressed.

Fight Night is officially returning, with more information expected in a future announcement.
