Forza Horizon 6 will officially launch on PS5 later in 2026, ending uncertainty over whether PlayStation players would have to wait until next year to explore its open-world recreation of Japan.
The racing game initially launched on Xbox and PC, with Playground Games previously confirming that a PlayStation 5 version was in development but stopping short of providing a release window.
That has now changed.

Forza Horizon 6 Is Coming to PS5 Later This Year
In a new update detailing the game’s Series 5 content, the developers confirmed that Forza Horizon 6 will release on PS5 later in 2026.
The announcement states:
“If you’re planning your trip to Discover Japan on PlayStation 5, stay tuned! Forza Horizon 6 will be releasing on PS5 later this year.”
An exact release date hasn’t been announced yet, but the PlayStation Store page is already live, allowing PS5 players to wishlist the game.
With Tokyo Game Show 2026 taking place later this month, it’s possible that more details could arrive during the event, although there has been no official confirmation that the PS5 release date will be announced there.
Forza Horizon 6 Continues Expanding Before PS5 Launch
Meanwhile, the new British Automotive update introduces Drift Attack, a permanent activity that gives players an opportunity to unlock the 1990 Jaguar XJ-S Forza Edition.
The Horizon Stadium is also receiving a new takeover featuring three cars making their Horizon debut: the 2025 Bentley Continental GT Speed, 2019 Ginetta G40 Junior and 2006 Vauxhall Astra VXR.
The biggest news for PlayStation players, however, is finally having a concrete window. Forza Horizon 6 is officially coming to PS5 before the end of 2026.
