Until Dawn 2 received its second major trailer during the September 2026 PlayStation State of Play, offering a deeper look at Firesprite’s new horror story ahead of its January 28, 2027 release on PS5.
After its initial reveal in June, Until Dawn 2 returned during Sony’s latest showcase with new footage highlighting its characters, environments and the terrifying situations players will face.
The sequel is being developed by Firesprite, taking over the series following Supermassive Games’ work on the original Until Dawn.

Until Dawn 2 Shows More of Its New Horror Story
The latest trailer provides a much closer look at the sequel’s story while retaining the cinematic, decision-driven horror that defined the original game.
Once again, player choices are expected to play a major role as the characters attempt to survive, with the new footage teasing plenty of disturbing encounters along the way.
The cast includes Neil Newbon, while the trailer also features Dr. Alan J. Hill, providing another connection to the wider Until Dawn universe.

Until Dawn 2 Launches in January 2027
Unlike the original game’s remake, Until Dawn 2 is a completely new entry rather than another retelling of the Blackwood Mountain story.
Firesprite is building on the series’ established narrative-horror formula while introducing a new story and cast for the sequel.
Players won’t have to wait too much longer to see how it all comes together.
Until Dawn 2 launches January 28, 2027 exclusively for PlayStation 5.
