Housemarque has released the free Saros Zenith Update 2.0 on PS5, introducing New Game Plus, an eight-boss challenge mode, new collectibles, additional Trophies and accessibility improvements.

Saros has received its biggest post-launch update yet, bringing new challenges and progression options to Housemarque’s third-person roguelite shooter.

The Zenith Update, available now as a free 3.5GB download, upgrades the game to version 2.0 and expands its replayability for players who have already completed the campaign.

Saros Zenith Update Introduces Boss Rush and New Game Plus

According to the official PlayStation Blog, the update introduces two major gameplay additions.

Overlord Rush is a new boss rush mode where players can challenge selected Overlords or attempt to defeat all eight consecutively. Online leaderboards allow players to compare their performance.

Eclipse Layers serves as Saros’ New Game Plus system, introducing increasingly difficult challenges with additional gameplay rules.

Players unlock new Eclipse Layers through the Armour Matrix and must equip Carcosan Modifiers to access them.

New Modifiers, Collectibles and Trophies

Zenith Update 2.0 also introduces:

• 20 new Carcosan Modifiers: 10 protections and 10 trials.
• New collectibles: Additional discoveries that expand the game’s lore.
• New Trophies: Additional PlayStation trophies tied to the update.
• Dynamic crown: Arjun’s crown grows based on the number of equipped trial modifiers.
• Online leaderboards: Competitive rankings for Overlord Rush challenges.

The new collectibles are connected to Arjun’s crown, giving players additional reasons to experiment with different modifiers.

Saros Receives New Accessibility Features

Housemarque has also expanded the game’s accessibility settings with several new options, including:

• Adjustable game speed
• High-contrast visual settings
• Auto-aim assistance
• Gyro aiming

These improvements make Saros more customizable for both newcomers and experienced players.

Saros Zenith Update 2.0 is available now for free on PlayStation 5, offering substantial new content without requiring an additional purchase.
