Aftergods is a newly announced open-world action RPG set after Ragnarok, combining multiple mythologies with survival mechanics, godlike transformations and cooperative gameplay.
From the creators of Tribes of Midgard, Aftergods expands beyond Norse mythology by introducing gods and legendary creatures from ancient Greece and Egypt.
The game takes place in a fractured world following Ragnarok, where players assume the role of a Godborn, a descendant of the gods tasked with restoring balance to the cosmos.

Aftergods Features Human and Divine Forms
One of the game’s central mechanics allows players to switch between two distinct forms.
- Divine Form: Transform into mythical creatures, including phoenixes and sirens, and unleash supernatural abilities.
- Human Form: Command followers, establish settlements, construct bases and gather resources.
Players must use both forms to rebuild their pantheon and attract worshippers.
Aftergods is described as a “survivalite” RPG, combining traditional survival mechanics with automation systems that reduce the need for repetitive resource management.
Open-World Exploration and Cooperative Gameplay
Aftergods features an isometric perspective and supports both solo and cooperative play.
Multiplayer will use peer-to-peer connections, with an additional option to rent dedicated servers.
The combination of mythology-inspired combat, settlement management and open-world exploration aims to offer a different approach to the survival RPG genre.
Aftergods is coming to PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, although an official release date has not yet been announced.
