Ubisoft has announced that Rainbow Six Mobile will shut down on January 15, 2027, ending the mobile shooter’s three-year run after 15 seasons of content.

Another major mobile shooter is coming to an end, as Ubisoft has confirmed plans to permanently close Rainbow Six Mobile.

According to the announcement, Rainbow Six Mobile servers will go offline on January 15, 2027, making the game unavailable to play after that date.

Ubisoft thanked the community for its support and explained that the team will shift its focus toward other long-term projects.

Rainbow Six Mobile Ends After 15 Seasons

Rainbow Six Mobile was designed to bring the tactical gameplay of Ubisoft’s popular Rainbow Six franchise to smartphones.

During its three-year lifespan, the game received 15 seasons of additional content, but Ubisoft has now decided to discontinue the project.

The shutdown follows similar decisions involving other major mobile shooters, including Apex Legends Mobile, Battlefield Mobile and Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile.

Another Setback for Ubisoft’s Mobile Strategy

Rainbow Six Mobile was part of Ubisoft’s broader strategy to bring established franchises to mobile platforms.

The publisher previously explored mobile adaptations of several major properties, including Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, Rainbow Six i The Division.

However, some of those projects were cancelled before release, while Rainbow Six Mobile is now joining the growing list of discontinued mobile shooters.

Ubisoft has not detailed which future projects the Rainbow Six Mobile team will work on following the shutdown.
