Pearl Abyss has delayed Crimson Desert’s upcoming Charting the Unknown DLC by two weeks, moving its release date from October 15 to October 29, 2026.

The paid expansion, officially titled Crimson Desert Enhanced: Charting the Unknown, is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.

Pearl Abyss says the additional development time will be used to deliver a more polished and stable gameplay experience.

Crimson Desert DLC Gets a New Release Date

The developer announced the delay through the official Crimson Desert account on X, confirming that Charting the Unknown will now launch on October 29, 2026.

The expansion was previously scheduled for October 15, meaning players will have to wait an additional two weeks.

Interestingly, the new date puts the expansion directly alongside the release of Phantom Blade, potentially making October 29 a particularly busy day for action game fans.

Charting the Unknown Takes Players Beyond Pywel

Charting the Unknown significantly expands the world players can explore in Crimson Desert.

The adventure will extend beyond the shores of Pywel, with players gaining access to a ship that can be used to sail across the ocean.

Exploration won’t be limited to the surface either. Players will be able to dive beneath the ocean, searching for treasures, ancient ruins and secrets hidden underwater.

The expansion will also introduce a new story involving Kliff, Oongka and Damiane, alongside a mysterious new presence emerging in the desert and a wider political conflict.

Another major addition is an enhanced building system, offering considerably more freedom when building and designing homes.

Despite the short delay, Pearl Abyss says the extra development time is necessary to improve the expansion’s overall stability and polish.

Crimson Desert Enhanced: Charting the Unknown launches October 29, 2026, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
