Insomniac Games has released a new Marvel’s Wolverine hotfix addressing crashes and reducing the intensity of Scent Trails and Audio Sense indicators, while confirming that further changes based on player feedback are being explored.

Update v.01.001.005 is now available on PS5, with Insomniac saying the hotfix addresses several common crashes experienced by a small percentage of players since launch.

The studio also reiterated that it is continuing to listen to feedback following Wolverine’s release.

Scent Trails and Audio Sense Have Been Adjusted

One of the more noticeable changes affects Wolverine’s Senses.

Insomniac has adjusted the presentation of Scent Trails and Audio Sense indicators, including reducing their opacity so the visual effects are less intense during gameplay.

More importantly, the studio confirmed that this may not be the end of the changes.

Insomniac says it is continuing to evaluate ways to improve Senses and is exploring toggleable options for a future update.

That could eventually give players greater control over how prominently these visual indicators appear, although no release date for such an option has been announced.

Insomniac Continues to Respond to Feedback

The update arrives shortly after Insomniac confirmed that the development team was actively listening to post-launch feedback and working on improvements.

The studio reinforced that message alongside the new hotfix, stating that its team “continues to listen to player feedback.”

For now, Marvel’s Wolverine update v.01.001.005 focuses primarily on stability and the presentation of Senses, with further improvements already being evaluated for future updates.
