007 First Light has officially surpassed four million copies sold worldwide, reaching the milestone less than three months after its release.
IO Interactive has announced another major commercial milestone for its James Bond adventure, describing 007 First Light as one of the fastest-selling games of 2026.
The numbers could continue to climb significantly throughout the remainder of the year, particularly with the Nintendo Switch 2 version still scheduled to arrive later in 2026.

007 First Light Sells 4 Million Copies in Under Three Months
IO Interactive confirmed that 007 First Light has sold more than four million units during its first three months on the market.
The studio believes the milestone demonstrates not only the success of the game itself but also the continued global popularity of James Bond.
Created by author Ian Fleming, Bond has remained one of entertainment’s most recognizable characters for decades, expanding far beyond the original novels and becoming a massive franchise across movies, games, and other media.
In its announcement, IO Interactive described the game’s performance as both a critical and commercial success:
“The achievement of 4 million units sold in the first three months reflects overwhelming global enthusiasm for 007 First Light.”
The company added that the game’s performance across its existing platforms, combined with the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 launch, demonstrates the enduring appeal of the franchise and the positive response to IO Interactive’s vision for an original Bond experience.
According to the studio, the milestone establishes 007 First Light as one of the most successful gaming launches of 2026.

Nintendo Switch 2 Launch Could Push Sales Even Higher
The four-million milestone has been achieved before 007 First Light has even arrived on every planned platform.
A Nintendo Switch 2 version is scheduled for later in 2026, giving IO Interactive another opportunity to expand the game’s audience.
The developer isn’t finished supporting the existing versions either.
Alongside announcing the sales milestone, IO Interactive reiterated its commitment to the game’s Year One roadmap, which is expected to introduce additional content and continue expanding the experience after launch.
That ongoing support, combined with another major platform release, means 007 First Light’s four-million figure is unlikely to be its final major sales milestone.
For IO Interactive, the early success is particularly significant as the studio attempts to establish its own interpretation of James Bond rather than directly adapting one of the character’s existing movie adventures.
Less than three months after release, it appears that gamble has paid off.
