Scuf Gaming has officially revealed the brand-new Scuf Omega, a premium performance controller fully licensed for PlayStation 5 consoles.
Built using over 15 years of competitive gaming feedback and pro-player experience, the Scuf Omega is designed to deliver advanced customization, low-latency connectivity, and esports-focused features for serious players across multiple platforms.
The controller launches worldwide starting today.
Designed for Competitive Play
According to Scuf, the Omega includes a total of 28 inputs, featuring 11 additional customizable controls beyond a standard controller layout.
These include:
- 4 rear paddles
- 2 side buttons
- 5 programmable G-Keys
The goal is simple: allow players to perform critical actions without taking their thumbs off the thumbsticks.
That means actions like jumping, sliding, reloading, or switching equipment can all happen while maintaining aim and movement — something highly valued in competitive shooters and fast-paced multiplayer games.
Fully Customizable Through the Scuf Mobile App
One of Omega’s biggest features is its deep integration with the new Scuf Mobile App, available on both iOS and Android devices.
The app allows players to:
- Create and manage multiple controller profiles
- Save settings directly to the controller
- Adjust deadzones and trigger sensitivity
- Modify thumbstick response curves
- Configure SOCD settings for fighting games
- Monitor battery levels and firmware updates
- Recalibrate thumbsticks
- Customize RGB lighting on PC
Players can also switch between different response zones, including Circle, Square, and Scuf’s custom “Squircle” option.
Mechanical Buttons and Adjustable Triggers
The Scuf Omega uses Omron mechanical switches across its action buttons, D-Pad, and Instant Triggers — the same switch technology commonly found in premium gaming mice.
According to Scuf, this allows for faster, sharper, and more tactile button presses compared to traditional membrane controllers.
The adjustable Instant Triggers can also switch between:
- Ultra-fast click mode for FPS games
- Full analog mode for racing and driving control
Magnetic Thumbsticks and Lightweight Design
The controller also introduces Endurance TMR Thumbsticks, which use non-contact magnetic sensing technology designed to improve long-term durability and reduce stick drift concerns.
Players will be able to choose between:
- Concave or domed thumbsticks
- Short or tall stick heights
Scuf additionally removed vibration modules from the controller entirely in order to reduce overall weight and eliminate distractions during competitive gameplay.
Combined with textured non-slip grips and redesigned ergonomics, the company says Omega was specifically engineered for long gaming sessions and tournament-level performance.
