GTA 6 Official Box Art Revealed As Pre-Orders Finally Get A Date

After years of anticipation, Rockstar Games has officially unveiled the cover art for Grand Theft Auto VI, while also confirming exactly when players will finally be able to secure their copy.

The announcement marks another major milestone on the road to launch, with pre-orders set to open next week and fans receiving a brand-new look at Vice City in the process.

GTA 6 Pre-Orders Go Live On June 25

Rockstar confirmed through its official social media channels that Grand Theft Auto VI pre-orders will begin on June 25.

The company also revealed the game’s official box art, which features protagonists Jason and Lucia front and center against the vibrant neon backdrop of modern-day Vice City.

Players can now download the official cover artwork directly from Rockstar’s promotional materials, making it the first officially released box art for the game.

The announcement comes just months ahead of GTA 6’s scheduled launch and finally gives fans a concrete date for when they can reserve their copy.

The GTA 6 Price Remains A Mystery

One major question remains unanswered: how much will GTA 6 actually cost?

For months, rumors have circulated suggesting that Take-Two Interactive and Rockstar could push pricing beyond traditional AAA standards. Some reports have even speculated that GTA 6 could become the first mainstream release to carry a $100 standard edition price tag.

Those rumors gained traction after Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick repeatedly avoided confirming pricing during investor calls.

Instead, Zelnick has consistently emphasized value.

“Consumers pay for the value that you bring to them, and our job is to charge way, way, way less than the value delivery.”

With pre-orders now just days away, players likely won’t have to wait much longer to learn the final price.

Fans Notice Something Strange About The Release Date

While excitement surrounding the box art reveal has been overwhelmingly positive, some fans quickly noticed an unexpected change on Rockstar’s website.

The new GTA 6 landing page prominently highlights the box art, platform information, and pre-order date. However, one thing appears to be missing: the game’s release date.

Prior versions of Rockstar’s GTA 6 website clearly displayed the currently announced launch date of November 19, 2026. Following the update, that date no longer appears anywhere on the main page.

Predictably, this has sparked widespread speculation across social media, with some players worrying that Rockstar could be preparing another delay announcement.

At the moment, Rockstar has not commented on the disappearance of the date, and there is currently no indication that the November launch window has changed.

Vice City Looks Better Than Ever

Alongside the box art reveal, Rockstar quietly updated the GTA 6 website with a stunning new image of Vice City.

The fresh screenshot showcases an expanded view of the city’s skyline, featuring towering skyscrapers, an active dockyard, a Ferris wheel, helicopters, aircraft, and significantly more environmental detail than previously seen.

Fans were quick to compare the image to earlier promotional material released in 2023, noting numerous graphical upgrades and visual refinements.

The updated skyline offers one of the clearest looks yet at Rockstar’s vision for modern Vice City and further highlights the incredible level of detail being poured into the project.

Could Trailer 3 Be Coming Soon?

The timing of the pre-order announcement has naturally led to speculation about Rockstar’s next move.

Traditionally, major publishers accompany pre-order launches with new gameplay footage or additional trailers. With pre-orders opening on June 25, many fans believe GTA 6 Trailer 3 could arrive sometime before or alongside the launch of pre-orders.

Rockstar has yet to confirm any new marketing plans, but with the game now entering its final months before release, another major showcase feels increasingly likely.

For now, one thing is certain: GTA 6’s marketing campaign is finally entering its next phase, and the countdown to launch is officially underway.
