The Last Caretaker Is Coming to Xbox Game Pass With Its 1.0 Launch

The Last Caretaker will officially join Xbox Game Pass when its 1.0 version launches in Spring 2027, bringing the survival-crafting game to a much larger audience on PC and Xbox.

Developer Channel37 confirmed the news alongside an updated roadmap outlining the final stretch of Early Access and its plans to continue supporting the game after launch.

The Last Caretaker Joins Game Pass in Spring 2027

The Last Caretaker entered Early Access in November 2025 and has since sold more than 400,000 copies. According to Channel37, players have spent an average of around 50 hours exploring its flooded world.

Players control an android attempting to survive on a planet almost completely consumed by rising oceans. Exploration, crafting and survival are central to the experience as players investigate the remaining fragments of civilization while dealing with hostile machines and environmental dangers.

When the game reaches version 1.0 in Spring 2027, it will become available through Xbox Game Pass on both PC and Xbox platforms.

Development Won’t Stop With Version 1.0

Before the full launch, Channel37 still has several updates planned. The next major release is Update 6.0: The Future, which is scheduled for October.

Version 1.0 won’t mark the end of development either. Channel37 says it intends to continue expanding The Last Caretaker with new locations, systems, stories and other content after its full release.

“While 1.0 marks the completion of the Early Access journey and the game’s full release, the world of The Last Caretaker continues to grow.”
