Kingdom Hearts Collection I~III on PS5 will offer fewer Platinum Trophies than the previous PS4 releases, despite retaining the original Trophy requirements.

Trophy hunters hoping to complete the definitive Kingdom Hearts collection on PS5 may be disappointed.

Players have discovered that the collection separates its Trophies into only three lists: Kingdom Hearts 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and Kingdom Hearts 3 + ReMind.

Because each PS5 Trophy list can contain only one Platinum, the collection offers just three Platinum Trophies.

Kingdom Hearts Loses Three Platinums on PS5

Players can earn Platinums for Kingdom Hearts 1, Dream Drop Distance and Kingdom Hearts 3.

The PS4 releases additionally offered separate Platinums for Kingdom Hearts 2, Birth by Sleep and Re of Memories, bringing the previous total to six.

The individual Trophy challenges haven’t been removed, but completing those additional games will no longer award separate Platinums.

This appears to be a consequence of how Sony handles Trophy lists for bundled PS5 releases rather than a decision unique to Square Enix. Similar restrictions have previously affected other collections on PS5.

For Trophy hunters, that means the new Kingdom Hearts collection effectively cuts the number of available Platinums from six to three.
