Assassin’s Creed Invictus Is Changing After Player Feedback, Ubisoft Confirms

Ubisoft has confirmed that Assassin’s Creed Invictus is undergoing changes following private multiplayer playtests, with developers working to bring the experience closer to the franchise’s core identity.

The upcoming PvP-focused Assassin’s Creed project remains in active development, although Ubisoft has not announced a release date or public testing period.

Assassin’s Creed Invictus Is Evolving After Private Playtests

In its latest Assassin’s Creed Fall 2026 Update, Ubisoft revealed that the multiplayer experience received positive feedback during private testing.

However, players also expressed a desire for more traditional Assassin’s Creed elements throughout gameplay.

The development team has acknowledged those concerns and is now adjusting the project to better reflect the franchise’s established gameplay pillars while maintaining its multiplayer ambitions.

Earlier reports described Invictus as an unusual multiplayer experience, with some comparisons to Fall Guys.

According to previous leaks, players could select familiar Assassin’s Creed characters and compete across recognizable locations from the series.

Ubisoft has not officially confirmed those specific gameplay details.

Additional playtests are planned as development continues, with Ubisoft warning that information circulating online may be incomplete or outdated.

For now, Assassin’s Creed Invictus remains without a confirmed release date, platforms or public gameplay reveal.
