Embark Studios has partnered with Chernin Entertainment to bring ARC Raiders and The Finals beyond gaming, with film and television adaptations now officially in development.
Two of Embark Studios’ biggest games are heading to Hollywood.
Embark has announced a partnership with Chernin Entertainment to develop adaptations based on ARC Raiders and The Finals for film and television.
The deal is part of Embark’s plan to expand both franchises into broader entertainment properties.

ARC Raiders and The Finals Expand Beyond Gaming
Embark Studios founder and CEO Patrick Söderlund described the partnership as the next step toward turning the two franchises into “deeply integrated transmedia experiences.”
Embark’s creative teams will work alongside Chernin Entertainment on the projects to help preserve the identity of both games as they move into other forms of entertainment.
However, it remains very early.
No release dates, stories, directors or cast members have been announced, and it is currently unclear which project will become a movie and which will become a TV series — or whether both could eventually receive multiple adaptations.
ARC Raiders launched in 2025 and has since sold more than 16 million copies, while free-to-play shooter The Finals has surpassed 30 million registered players.
Further details about both adaptations will be announced at a later date.
