Crimson Desert DLC

Crimson Desert: Charting the Unknown DLC Launches October 15

Pearl Abyss has revealed that Crimson Desert’s first major DLC, Charting the Unknown, will launch on October 15 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, adding sailing, underwater exploration, new stories and expanded building systems.

The release date was announced during the latest PlayStation State of Play, alongside new details about what players can expect from the expansion.

Charting the Unknown will be available digitally for $25, with pre-orders now open.

Charting the Unknown Adds Sailing and Underwater Exploration

One of the expansion’s biggest additions is the ability to own a vessel and explore the seas surrounding Pywel.

Players will be able to travel to uncharted islands, investigate submerged ruins, search for underwater treasures and discover new secrets along the mainland coast.

The DLC will also introduce several new storylines involving Kliff, Oongka and Damiane. These include a sinister presence emerging in the desert, political conflict, a journey beyond time and an ancient mystery hidden beneath the ocean.

Building and Everyday Life Are Being Expanded

Charting the Unknown isn’t focused entirely on exploration.

An enhanced building mode will allow players to create and personalize their own homes in Pywel. Players can also rent and manage facilities, build their fortune and develop stronger relationships with characters throughout the world.

Those who pre-order the expansion will receive two exclusive in-game items: the Charter’s Diving Set for Kliff and Oongka and the Charter’s Light Diving Set for Damiane.

Crimson Desert: Charting the Unknown launches October 15 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam and the Epic Games Store for $25.
