Amazon’s live-action God of War series will reportedly film its first two seasons back-to-back, with Atreus and Thrúd also expected to be recast.
New details have emerged about the upcoming live-action God of War adaptation, suggesting that production could move forward with two seasons filmed consecutively.
According to entertainment insider Daniel Richtman (DanielRPK), the series is reportedly planning to shoot Seasons 1 and 2 back-to-back.
While the production strategy has not been officially confirmed, filming consecutive seasons could help maintain continuity and reduce the time between releases.

God of War Series Reportedly Recasting Atreus and Thrúd
The report also claims that Atreus and Thrúd will be recast for the season 2.
Atreus, the son of Kratos, plays a central role in the Norse storyline of God of War, while Thrúd is the daughter of Thor and Sif, introduced in God of War Ragnarök.
Two Seasons Could Expand the Norse Storyline
Filming two seasons consecutively could allow the adaptation to develop its story across a longer narrative without a substantial production break.
However, it remains unclear how closely the series will follow the events of God of War (2018) and God of War Ragnarök.
Amazon has not officially confirmed the reported filming schedule or recasting plans, so both details should be treated as unverified for now.
No premiere date has been announced.
