Telltale Games has officially confirmed that The Wolf Among Us Remastered will launch on October 29, 2026, bringing the acclaimed narrative adventure to modern platforms with enhanced visuals, improved performance, new accessibility features and bonus content.

One of Telltale’s most beloved games is returning just in time for Halloween.

Following its reveal at Summer Game Fest 2026, The Wolf Among Us Remastered appeared again during Gamescom week with a new trailer and, more importantly, a confirmed release date.

Players will be able to return to Fabletown on October 29, 2026, across PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.

The Wolf Among Us Remastered will launch simultaneously across modern consoles and PC, with the PC version available through Steam and the Epic Games Store.

Originally released episodically beginning in 2013, The Wolf Among Us remains one of the standout titles from Telltale’s original era.

Players take control of Bigby Wolf, a reimagined version of the Big Bad Wolf who now serves as sheriff of Fabletown.

The community is secretly populated by characters from fairy tales and folklore, and Bigby finds himself investigating a brutal murder that threatens to expose the darker side of their supposedly hidden society.

Like Telltale’s other narrative adventures, conversations and player decisions play an important role throughout the story, with choices affecting relationships and how certain situations unfold.

Enhanced Visuals, Performance and Noir Mode

This isn’t simply the original game running at a higher resolution.

Telltale says the remaster features enhanced visuals, refined character and environmental presentation, upgraded animations and audio, and an updated user interface.

Resolution and framerate improvements are also included, alongside expanded accessibility options designed to make the game easier for more players to experience.

Another major addition is Noir Mode, which should fit particularly well with The Wolf Among Us’ dark detective atmosphere and comic-book-inspired presentation.

Telltale says its goal is to preserve the original narrative experience while modernizing how Fabletown looks and feels.

More Than an Hour of Bonus Content Included

Longtime fans will also have some new material to explore.

The Wolf Among Us Remastered includes more than an hour of bonus content covering the development of the original game.

Players can expect behind-the-scenes videos, interviews with members of the cast, image galleries and deleted scenes offering additional insight into how Telltale created its noir-inspired interpretation of the Fables universe.

That gives returning players a little more incentive to revisit Bigby’s story rather than simply replaying an upgraded version of the original release.

For newcomers, meanwhile, the remaster should become the easiest way to experience one of Telltale’s most celebrated narrative adventures on current hardware.
