Ubisoft has officially confirmed that brand-new entries in its three biggest franchises — Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, and Ghost Recon — will all release before the end of March 2029.
It’s very clear the publisher is now heavily relying on its biggest IPs to stabilize the company’s future.
Ubisoft Is Preparing a Massive Multi-Year Franchise Push
In its latest financial report, Ubisoft explained that the company is planning a “significantly stronger and diversified content pipeline” across fiscal years 2027-28 and 2028-29.
That lineup will reportedly be led by major releases from:
None of those announcements are particularly surprising considering those are arguably Ubisoft’s three most important single-player franchises right now.

Assassin’s Creed Hexe Is Still Coming
The report also indirectly reaffirmed development of Assassin’s Creed Codename Hexe, the darker witchcraft-inspired entry first teased several years ago.
According to current expectations, Hexe is targeting a release sometime during 2027.
Very little is officially known about the game so far, but rumors continue suggesting:
- A darker horror-inspired tone
- Witch trial themes
- Smaller-scale environments
- More experimental gameplay systems
After years of gigantic RPG-style Assassin’s Creed games, Hexe sounds like it could end up becoming one of the franchise’s most unique entries.

Far Cry and Ghost Recon Are Long Overdue
Both Far Cry and Ghost Recon have been relatively quiet for years now.
Far Cry 6 launched back in 2021, while the last mainline Ghost Recon title, Breakpoint, released all the way back in 2019.
That means both franchises are more than ready for a major return.
Especially Ghost Recon, which many fans still believe deserves a full comeback after Breakpoint’s rough launch and eventual recovery.
Ubisoft Continues Focusing on Its Biggest Franchises
Interestingly, Ubisoft’s financial report heavily emphasized its largest active brands.
Alongside Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, and Ghost Recon, the company also highlighted ongoing support for:
However, there was still no mention of:
- Beyond Good and Evil 2
- The Splinter Cell remake
Which honestly probably tells its own story.
Black Flag Resynced Is Already Performing Extremely Well
Ubisoft also used the report to highlight strong early momentum for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced.
According to the company, the remake generated:
- “Strong engagement” across the community
- Extremely positive reactions toward its modernized visuals
- Praise for expanded gameplay systems
- Particularly strong pre-orders in China
Ubisoft even stated that Black Flag Resynced is already tracking among the franchise’s strongest pre-order performances during its first three weeks.
And honestly?
That probably explains exactly why Ubisoft is doubling down so aggressively on Assassin’s Creed moving forward.
