With just six months remaining until the launch of Grand Theft Auto VI, fans are becoming increasingly convinced that Rockstar Games could finally open preorders and release a brand-new trailer sometime this week.
Over the past few days, the GTA community has been analyzing Rockstar’s previous marketing patterns, trying to find connections between major announcements and important financial dates tied to publisher Take-Two Interactive.
Since GTA 6 is still officially scheduled to launch on November 19, many players believe investors will need clearer confirmation soon that development is still on track.
PlayStation Marketing Clues Spark New Theories
One of the biggest details fueling speculation comes from PlayStation, which is reportedly serving as the main marketing partner for GTA 6.
Several PlayStation 4 users have recently begun receiving promotional emails encouraging them to upgrade to a PlayStation 5 in order to play GTA 6 later this year.
That alone might not mean much — but combined with other strange activity, fans believe something bigger could be happening behind the scenes.
PS Store Activity Raises Eyebrows
Another detail currently spreading across forums involves unusual behavior on the PlayStation Store and Sony promotional pages.
Players noticed that the popular PS Deals page, which almost always contains active promotions, suddenly appeared nearly empty for the first time in a long while.
At the same time, Sony’s “Great Games 2026” promotional page reportedly features an empty slot at the very end of the lineup, immediately sparking theories that the space could be reserved for GTA 6 marketing.
Naturally, the internet did what it always does when GTA is involved — full detective mode.
Rockstar’s Old Marketing Strategy Adds Fuel to the Fire
Fans are also pointing to Rockstar’s previous release strategies for Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2, where major trailers, screenshots, preorder announcements, and release updates often appeared close to Take-Two investor calls.
With Take-Two’s next financial presentation scheduled for May 21, many believe Rockstar will need to reveal something substantial before then — whether that’s preorder details, a second trailer, new screenshots, or potentially even a delay announcement.
GTA Community Enters Peak Conspiracy Season
Beyond the more believable theories, things quickly become much shakier in classic GTA fashion.
Players on Reddit and X are now discussing alleged retailer emails, rumored preorder marketing packages, supposed insider leaks, and even claims that Rockstar developers have entered heavy crunch mode ahead of launch.
At this point, almost every tiny detail becomes “proof” for the community.
Still, six months before release genuinely feels like the perfect moment for Rockstar to begin a much larger marketing push for GTA 6.
A new trailer? Preorders? More screenshots?
Honestly… this week wouldn’t be surprising at all.
