Sony has officially unveiled a collection of Marvel’s Wolverine Limited Edition PS5 hardware, including a striking Battle Yellow PS5 Digital Edition, matching DualSense controller, console covers, and a premium Adamantium-themed alternative.
The new hardware will launch alongside Marvel’s Wolverine on September 15, 2026, giving fans several options to customize their PlayStation 5 setup for Insomniac Games’ next major Marvel release.
Pre-orders and purchases will begin on August 19 at 10 AM local time, with availability varying by region.
Marvel’s Wolverine Battle Yellow PS5 Revealed
The centerpiece of the collection is the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition – Marvel’s Wolverine Battle Yellow Limited Edition Bundle.
Sony and Insomniac have leaned heavily into Wolverine’s classic comic-book appearance, covering the console in his instantly recognizable yellow and black color scheme.
Wolverine artwork dominates the upper portion of the console, while massive claw marks cut across both the yellow and black sections of the system.
The design is intended to represent Logan’s “raw ferocity,” and it’s certainly much more aggressive than the standard white PS5 design.
The bundle includes the limited-edition PS5 Digital Edition, matching DualSense Wireless Controller, and a digital game code for Marvel’s Wolverine.
Wolverine DualSense Controller Matches the Console
The Battle Yellow Limited Edition DualSense carries the same visual theme.
The controller combines a predominantly yellow and black body with yellow analog sticks and a yellow PlayStation button.
Its directional and face buttons remain black but feature yellow outlines, while a large yellow claw mark cuts across the front of the controller.
Additional scratch marks have been incorporated throughout the design to give it a more battle-worn appearance.
Players won’t need to purchase the entire console bundle to get one, as Sony is also selling the Wolverine DualSense separately.

Existing PlayStation 5 owners can also transform their current consoles without purchasing another system.
Sony is releasing Marvel’s Wolverine Battle Yellow Limited Edition console covers for compatible PS5 Slim systems, including both Digital Edition and Disc Drive configurations.
PS5 Pro owners will also have access to dedicated Battle Yellow covers.
That means players who already own Sony’s more powerful console can still give their system the Wolverine treatment.
Wolverine Adamantium Limited Edition Revealed
Yellow and black isn’t the only option.
Sony has also revealed the Marvel’s Wolverine Adamantium Limited Edition collection.
The Adamantium versions retain the overall Wolverine-inspired design but replace the traditional yellow-and-black appearance with a premium metallic finish inspired by the metal bonded to Logan’s skeleton and claws.
PS5 Pro Adamantium console covers will be available alongside a matching Adamantium Limited Edition DualSense controller.
Unlike the Battle Yellow collection, Sony hasn’t announced a complete Adamantium PS5 console bundle.
Marvel’s Wolverine PS5 Prices
The entire collection will become available beginning August 19 at 10 AM local time, ahead of its September 15 release.

Availability may differ depending on region, and given the limited-edition branding, some of the hardware could be difficult to find once initial stock sells out.
Marvel’s Wolverine Launches September 15
The hardware arrives on the same day as Marvel’s Wolverine, which launches exclusively for PlayStation 5 on September 15, 2026.
Insomniac has previously released special PlayStation hardware surrounding its Spider-Man games, so Wolverine receiving similar treatment isn’t particularly surprising.
The Battle Yellow design takes a considerably more aggressive approach, though, while the Adamantium collection offers a more understated alternative for players who don’t necessarily want a bright yellow console sitting next to their television.
With Wolverine now just weeks away, Sony is clearly beginning its final marketing push—and the limited-edition PS5 hardware is going to be difficult for collectors to ignore.
