September 10 will be a huge day for Borderlands 4, with Gearbox releasing a new Vault Hunter, two paid DLCs and a free update that raises the level cap and introduces new high-end gear.
The centerpiece of the update is Loveless, the game’s newest playable Vault Hunter, but several other additions are arriving alongside her.

Loveless and Two New Borderlands 4 DLCs Launch September 10
Loveless joins the roster with three Action Skills: Malignant Construct, Visual Paradox Nexus and Plague Star, giving players another completely new character and set of builds to experiment with.
September 10 also brings Story Pack 2: FL4K and the Last Resort, which adds a new map, main and side missions, new bosses and additional content centered around returning Vault Hunter FL4K.
The second paid release is Bounty Pack 5: Amara and the Vile Shadows. This Siren-themed DLC focuses on Borderlands 3’s Amara and includes a repeatable mission alongside new bosses and loot.
Free Update Raises the Level Cap to 70
Even players who don’t purchase either DLC will receive substantial new content through the free Borderlands 4 Update 1.10.
The update increases the maximum character level from 60 to 70, with Gearbox confirming that this will be the game’s final level cap increase.
Players will also be able to hunt for new Pearlescent weapons and Legendary gear, providing additional endgame equipment to chase after reaching the new cap.
Starting September 10, Gearbox will also make older Borderlands 4 DLC available for individual purchase, giving players more flexibility to buy specific Story Packs and other content without purchasing larger bundles.
With Loveless, two DLC releases, a new level cap and additional endgame loot all arriving simultaneously, September 10 is shaping up to be one of Borderlands 4’s biggest post-launch updates yet.
