Rayman Origins Remaster Briefly Appears on XBOX Store With a $2,000 Price Tag

Ubisoft fans were left scratching their heads after an enhanced version of Rayman Origins briefly appeared on the XBOX Store with a rather unusual price tag attached to it.

And by unusual, we mean $2,000.

Thankfully, players probably won’t need to remortgage their homes to play it.

Rayman Origins Enhanced Edition Accidentally Goes Live

The listing, which was quickly removed shortly after appearing online, revealed a previously unannounced Rayman Origins Enhanced Edition.

While the page didn’t stay up for long, it did provide several interesting details about the remaster before disappearing.

Most notably, the game was listed at an eye-watering $2,000, which is almost certainly a placeholder price used internally before the actual retail price is finalized.

The listing has since been taken down.

The Remaster Includes 4K and 60 FPS Support

According to the description that appeared on the store page, the Enhanced Edition modernizes the beloved platformer with several technical upgrades.

Players can reportedly expect:

  • 4K resolution support
  • 60 FPS gameplay
  • Quality-of-life improvements
  • New progression tracking systems
  • 60 hidden Relics to discover

The description also mentions expanded tracking through the Snoring Tree, giving players additional completion goals throughout the adventure.

For a game that originally launched back in 2011, that’s exactly the kind of upgrade fans were hoping for.

Ubisoft Is Clearly Reviving Rayman

The accidental listing arrives shortly after reports surfaced regarding another major Rayman project.

According to reliable insider billbil-kun, Ubisoft is preparing to officially reveal Rayman Legends Retold, a remake of the critically acclaimed Rayman Legends.

The report claims the game will launch on October 1, 2026, with a retail price of $39.99.

Rayman Legends Retold Will Include Online Multiplayer

Unlike the original release, Rayman Legends Retold is reportedly introducing full online multiplayer support.

According to leaked details, up to four players will be able to play together online.

The remake is also said to include:

  • Physical editions for PS5 and Switch 2
  • Launch Edition bonuses
  • Visual improvements
  • Modern platform support

Interestingly, development is reportedly being handled by Ubisoft Montpellier, the original creators of the Rayman franchise.

Announcement Expected During PlayStation’s Big Week

According to the latest reports, Ubisoft is expected to officially reveal Rayman Legends Retold around June 2, coinciding with the same week as PlayStation’s upcoming State of Play showcase.

Some reports even suggest pre-orders could open immediately following the announcement.

At the moment, Ubisoft has not officially commented on either Rayman Origins Enhanced Edition or Rayman Legends Retold.

Still, between the accidental XBOX Store listing and the growing number of leaks, it increasingly looks like Rayman is finally preparing for a major comeback.

It’s about time.
