Resident Evil Requiem Writer Accidentally Reveals Story DLC Details

Resident Evil Requiem’s upcoming story DLC could explore Oswell E. Spencer in greater depth, according to comments from one of the game’s writers.

Capcom has already confirmed that Resident Evil Requiem will receive a story expansion, but details about its narrative have remained limited.

Now, writer Haris Orkin may have accidentally revealed an important part of the DLC’s direction during an interview at MEADOWLARK COMIC CON.

Resident Evil Requiem DLC Will Explore Spencer’s Story

Speaking with Distance NERDing Podcast & Comic Cons, Orkin discussed Spencer’s role in Resident Evil Requiem before revealing that his story will continue in the expansion.

“We have an arc for Spencer in Requiem. They kind of you understand that more and in the DLC, you will understand it even further,” Orkin explained.

He immediately appeared to recognize that he had revealed something prematurely, adding:

“So yeah! I probably shouldn’t say that, but yeah.”

Spoiler warning: The following paragraph discusses Spencer’s characterization in Resident Evil Requiem.

The main game presents a different side of Spencer, suggesting a degree of remorse over his involvement in the creation and spread of the T-Virus.

Orkin’s comments indicate that the upcoming DLC could provide additional context for Spencer’s motivations and actions.

Orkin previously worked on Resident Evil Village’s Shadows of Rose expansion, making his comments particularly interesting.

Capcom has not officially revealed the DLC’s story details or release date, so the full extent of Spencer’s involvement remains unknown.
