Sony Pictures has released a brand-new trailer for the upcoming Resident Evil movie directed by Zach Cregger, giving fans a much clearer look at the film’s story while continuing to tease the terrifying horrors awaiting in Raccoon City.
Unlike the first trailer, which focused primarily on gruesome zombie action and intense horror sequences, the latest preview shifts its attention toward the film’s narrative and central mystery.
Bryan’s Nightmare Begins
The trailer opens by introducing Bryan, played by Austin Abrams, who works as a medical courier.
While making a routine hospital delivery, Bryan is offered extra money to complete one final delivery outside his usual route. The destination turns out to be Raccoon City, the infamous location familiar to Resident Evil fans.
On the way, everything changes when Bryan suddenly strikes a mysterious woman standing in the middle of the road.
Believing she has been killed, he searches nearby for help, leading him into what appears to be an abandoned house.
Something Is Waiting Inside
After entering the seemingly deserted home, Bryan quickly realizes something is terribly wrong.
The house shows clear signs of violence and struggle, with damaged rooms and evidence that its occupants didn’t leave peacefully.
Realizing he may not be alone, Bryan locates a firearm and desperately searches for ammunition while the tension steadily builds.
Just as he prepares to defend himself, the woman from the road suddenly reappears, sprinting toward the house in apparent panic.
Horror Returns to Raccoon City
The trailer then shifts into a series of fast-paced horror sequences, combining new footage with scenes previously shown in the first teaser.
Among the highlights are:
- Abandoned buildings throughout Raccoon City.
- Terrifying zombie encounters.
- A desperate struggle to load a handgun before it’s too late.
- Disturbing glimpses of infected creatures.
- A brief tease of a horrifying zombie baby during the trailer’s closing moments.
