The Blood of Dawnwalker Has 46 Achievements, But You Can’t Unlock Them All in One Playthrough

The Blood of Dawnwalker will feature 46 achievements when it launches on September 3, 2026, and developer Rebel Wolves has now revealed what players can expect from the game’s achievement hunt.

Rather than designing the list as a traditional checklist that forces players to complete virtually every activity, Rebel Wolves wants achievements to complement the game’s narrative sandbox and encourage players to experiment with different abilities, decisions, and playstyles.

There’s also an important detail for completionists: you won’t be able to unlock every achievement in a single playthrough.

The Blood of Dawnwalker Features 46 Achievements

Rebel Wolves revealed the achievement details in a new Steam post ahead of the game’s September launch.

There will be 46 achievements in total, divided between:

  • 25 visible achievements
  • 21 hidden achievements

The studio says the list has been designed to “complement the narrative sandbox experience, encouraging exploration and experimentation” rather than becoming an “exhaustive checklist.”

That philosophy makes sense considering how heavily The Blood of Dawnwalker revolves around player choice and consequences.

Your decisions can change how events unfold, meaning some achievements will naturally require different choices across multiple playthroughs.

Achievements Are Divided Into Seven Categories

The achievement list covers most of the major systems found throughout The Blood of Dawnwalker.

Rebel Wolves has divided achievements into seven main categories:

  • Combat Mastery
  • Vampiric Progression
  • Witchcraft Abilities
  • Exploration and Discovery
  • Story Progression
  • Character Development
  • Inventory

Some achievements reward traditional progression, while others encourage players to experiment with combinations of abilities or thoroughly explore Vale Sangora.

Combat Achievements Encourage Experimentation

Several achievements revolve around mastering the game’s combat systems rather than simply defeating a certain number of enemies.

Better Safe than Sorry requires players to behead an enemy using Artery Strike while the target is also affected by Burning Blood.

Make It Rain is unlocked by causing an enemy to explode using an Active Ability, while Absolutely Insatiable requires three Passive Abilities to be equipped simultaneously.

Players confident in their defensive skills can also chase Untouchable, which requires performing five Perfect Blocks consecutively.

These challenges suggest Rebel Wolves wants players to experiment with the interaction between different combat abilities rather than relying on one strategy throughout the entire game.

Exploration Has Its Own Set of Challenges

Players who want to see everything Vale Sangora has to offer will also have plenty to hunt.

Capture the Flag requires players to tear down all of Brencis’s flags, while Bird’s-Eye View involves climbing every tower and scouting the surrounding areas.

Other exploration achievements include:

Big-City Living – Visit the City of Svartrau.

Tour Guide Training – Visit all villages throughout Vale Sangora.

Delivery Delay – Destroy eight vrakhiri transports.

Considering The Blood of Dawnwalker’s open-ended structure, these achievements should provide additional incentives to venture away from the main story.

Level 50 and Ultimate Abilities Are Required

Character progression also plays a significant role in the achievement list.

Reaching Level 50 unlocks the Glass Ceiling achievement, while Mastery requires players to fully upgrade a Swordmastery, Witchcraft, or Vampiric Ability.

Each major skill tree also has an achievement associated with reaching its Ultimate Perk.

Master of Arms requires an Ultimate Swordmastery Perk, Arch Warlock is tied to Witchcraft, and Creature of the Night rewards players who reach an Ultimate Perk within the Vampirism tree.

This could also encourage considerably different character builds between playthroughs.

Vampire and Witchcraft Powers Have Unique Achievements

Some of the more interesting achievements revolve around Coen’s supernatural abilities.

Dead Man Talkin’ requires players to use the Compel Soul Witchcraft Ability to speak with a dead person.

Meanwhile, Shadow Roamer requires travelling 1,000 metres using Vampiric Abilities.

There’s even an achievement connected to feeding.

Balanced Diet requires players to quench their thirst by drinking from 10 animals, humans, or monsters, highlighting the freedom players will have when dealing with Coen’s vampiric needs.

Completionists Will Need Multiple Playthroughs

Perhaps the biggest takeaway from Rebel Wolves’ announcement is that earning all 46 achievements will require more than one playthrough.

The Blood of Dawnwalker places considerable emphasis on choices and consequences, and the developers don’t want achievement hunters to circumvent those systems simply to unlock everything during one run.

That means certain decisions, story outcomes, character interactions, and potentially different progression paths will need to be explored across additional playthroughs.

The 21 hidden achievements are also likely to contain many of the game’s story-related and choice-dependent challenges, although Rebel Wolves is understandably keeping those secret ahead of launch.

The Blood of Dawnwalker launches September 3, 2026, and with 46 achievements covering combat, exploration, supernatural abilities, progression, and narrative choices, completionists should have plenty to keep them occupied long after their first journey through Vale Sangora ends.
