XBOX and IKEA have teased a surprising new collaboration, with gaming-themed furniture seemingly on the way and a first look planned for Gamescom 2026.
XBOX has expanded well beyond traditional consoles in recent years, bringing its ecosystem to televisions, streaming devices, and even cars through cloud gaming. Home furniture, however, is a slightly more unexpected direction.
That appears to be changing thanks to IKEA, with the two companies now teasing a new range seemingly inspired by the iconic design of the XBOX controller.

XBOX and IKEA Collaboration Teases Controller-Inspired Furniture
The collaboration was spotted following a new post shared by XBOX and IKEA on Instagram.
The short teaser focuses heavily on recognizable elements of an XBOX controller, including its analog sticks and D-pad, before revealing what appears to be an XBOX-themed cushion.
The video then concludes with the XBOX and IKEA logos displayed together, officially teasing the partnership.
Neither company has revealed the complete product lineup yet, so it’s unclear exactly how extensive the collaboration will be.
However, the controller-focused imagery has already led to plenty of speculation that IKEA could be preparing furniture and accessories directly inspired by XBOX hardware.

Fans Are Already Imagining XBOX Chairs and Controller Couches
The unusual collaboration has generated plenty of enthusiasm from players.
Comments underneath the announcement include fans describing it as “the collab you never knew you needed,” while others are already imagining products such as joystick-inspired bar stools and an entire controller-shaped couch.
Gaming furniture has traditionally been dominated by gaming chairs and desks, but IKEA’s involvement could potentially result in something considerably different.
The company already offers furniture designed specifically around gaming setups, making a dedicated XBOX collection a natural extension of its existing products.
The teaser’s emphasis on individual controller components could also suggest that the collaboration won’t simply consist of standard IKEA furniture with an XBOX logo printed onto it. Instead, some products could incorporate recognizable shapes and design elements from XBOX hardware.
For now, though, neither company has confirmed exactly what will be included.

We shouldn’t have to wait too long to learn more.
Select Gamescom attendees will reportedly have an opportunity to experience the new XBOX and IKEA furniture in person at Gamescom 2026, suggesting a larger reveal could be approaching alongside the event.
Pricing, availability, release dates, and the complete range of products have yet to be announced.
With XBOX already preparing a major Gamescom presence this year, the IKEA collaboration gives fans something considerably different to look out for alongside the usual games, hardware, and accessories.
Whether we’re getting subtle XBOX-inspired gaming furniture or a giant controller-shaped couch remains to be seen.
