Capcom has officially announced a new 40-minute Spotlight presentation for Tokyo Game Show 2026, with the publisher promising the latest news on its upcoming games and major releases when the show airs on September 16.
Capcom isn’t slowing down after an already packed 2026.
The company has confirmed that its next major showcase will take place as part of Tokyo Game Show 2026, giving fans another opportunity to see what Capcom has planned for the remainder of the year and beyond.
The presentation will run for approximately 40 minutes and begins on September 16 at 10:00 a.m. EDT.
Capcom hasn’t revealed the complete lineup of games appearing during the show, meaning there’s plenty of room for surprises.
Capcom Spotlight Takes Place September 16
Capcom officially announced the Tokyo Game Show presentation through its social channels, confirming both its date and approximate duration. The Capcom Spotlight will air September 16 at 10:00 a.m. EDT and run for around 40 minutes.
The company says viewers can expect the latest information on its upcoming games and major releases. Capcom has also included a warning that some content shown during the presentation may not be suitable for all ages. Considering the company’s current lineup includes everything from Resident Evil to Monster Hunter and Mega Man, there’s no shortage of potential games that could fill those 40 minutes.
Resident Evil: Code Veronica Could Make an Appearance
One of the biggest candidates for the presentation is the previously announced Resident Evil: Code Veronica remake. Capcom has already enjoyed enormous success with Resident Evil Requiem this year, which became the fastest-selling entry in the franchise.
With Requiem now available, attention can increasingly shift toward what’s coming next for Resident Evil. Code Veronica would therefore be an obvious candidate for another trailer or development update during Tokyo Game Show. There’s also the possibility of additional Resident Evil Requiem content. Capcom hasn’t confirmed that DLC will appear during the Spotlight, however, so any potential expansion announcement remains speculation for now.
Mega Man Dual Override and Monster Hunter Could Be Featured
Mega Man Dual Override is another strong candidate.
Capcom has already revealed the game and shown its new take on classic Mega Man gameplay, making Tokyo Game Show an obvious opportunity to provide another look. Monster Hunter: Outlanders could also feature during the presentation. With a 40-minute runtime, Capcom has enough room to provide substantial updates on several previously announced projects alongside smaller announcements.
The publisher could also use the event to reveal DLC for its existing games or announce new collections from its extensive catalogue. None of those possibilities have been confirmed, however, and Capcom has yet to provide a complete schedule detailing exactly which games will appear.
Could Capcom Tease Another PRAGMATA?
Another interesting possibility surrounds PRAGMATA.
Capcom has already indicated that a sequel is considered very likely, opening the door for the new IP to continue beyond its first game. That doesn’t mean PRAGMATA 2 will be announced at Tokyo Game Show 2026, and there has been no confirmation that such a reveal is planned. Still, Capcom’s willingness to publicly discuss the possibility makes the future of the franchise something worth watching during upcoming showcases.
Tokyo Game Show has historically been an important event for Japanese publishers, so any unexpected announcement would immediately give Capcom’s presentation considerably more weight.
Capcom Has Already Had a Huge 2026
The Tokyo Game Show Spotlight follows another Capcom presentation held in June.
That showcase featured updates on games including Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen, Onimusha: Way of the Sword and Resident Evil Requiem, alongside DLC announcements and additional projects.
Monster Hunter Stories 3 also appeared, while Capcom provided an update on the upcoming Street Fighter movie, which is scheduled to release in October.
The company enters Tokyo Game Show after another strong year commercially, highlighted by Resident Evil Requiem’s launch and continued digital sales growth.
That makes the September presentation particularly interesting. Capcom already has several major announced projects to show, but with 40 minutes available, there should be enough room for at least a few surprises.
