Following the impressive launch of Pragmata, a Capcom executive has suggested that Pragmata 2 is “very likely”, with the company viewing the new IP as a potential long-term pillar alongside its biggest franchises.
Pragmata Becomes an Instant Success
Pragmata exceeded expectations when it launched, earning widespread critical praise while also proving to be a commercial hit.
The sci-fi action adventure sold more than one million copies within its first two days, quickly establishing itself as one of Capcom’s most successful new intellectual properties in recent years.

According to a recent Bloomberg report covering Capcom’s financial results, corporate officer Yoshikazu Shimauchi spoke positively about the future of the series.
Shimauchi reportedly stated that the likelihood of a sequel is high, adding that Capcom sees the opportunity to develop Pragmata into another pillar franchise capable of generating long-term revenue.
While an official announcement has not yet been made, the comments strongly suggest that discussions about a sequel are already taking place internally.
